Overview: Resin Ribbon
1) Resin - AS1 / For Flat Head Printers
AS1 is a pure resin ribbon developed for applications requiring excellent mechanical and solvent resistance. It is suited to most synthetic materials such as PVC, PET, PP and various matt and gloss coated papers, and is the preferred choice for printed images that are exposed to harsh environments. The AS1 is UL recognised and BS5609 approved when used in association with the correct substrates. It has a heat resistance of up to 180°C(356°F) and, as with all Toshiba ribbon products, it offers the very best in printhead protection.

2) Resin - AS1 / For Near Edge Printers
AS1 is a new generation resin ribbon developed for applications requiring excellent mechanical and solvent resistance. It is the recommended product for use in harsh environment label printing for the chemical and pharmaceutical industries. The AS1 is compatible with most synthetic materials, and some matt and high gloss coated papers. It will withstand tempreatures of up to 180°C(356°F) and has a blackness of 1.8 (ODR). It is UL recognised and has BGA approval (EU direct food contact). It also offers the very best in printhead protection, as with all Toshiba ribbon products.

3) Resin - AS2 / For Flat Head & Near Edge Printers
AS2 is a superior resin ribbon ideal for applications needing exceptional heat, mechanical and chemical resistance. Printing on to a wide range of synthetic materials, high gloss and matt coated papers, the printed image will withstand temperatures up to 250°C(482°F). As with all Toshiba ribbons, the superior back coating prevents static build-up and clogging, offering the very best in printhead protection.

4) Resin - AS3 / For Flat Head & Near Edge Printers
AS3 is a pure resin ribbon developed for printing wash care labels in the textile industry. Best suited to polysatins and nylons, the printed image offers excellent resistance to dry cleaning and both home and industrial washing, bleaching and ironing. The AS3's outstanding back coating prevents static build-up and clogging, offering the very best in printhead protection.
